BIG EAST play for the 2025 season has arrived for Villanova as the Wildcats welcome Seton Hall on Saturday for a Senior Day contest set to kick off at 4 p.m.
Villanova (5-3) will honor seven of its own after Saturday's match - seniors Hannah Dickinson, Caroline Graham and Gabi Andres and graduate students Bella Panaccione, Kate Dobsch, Olivia Neal and Hannah Curtin. These seven have accounted for 74 starts in 114 games as Wildcats. Between 2022 and now, this group has totaled over 6,396 minutes on the pitch.
The Wildcats closed nonconference play with a strong 3-1 win over Penn this past weekend, led by a two-goal showing for BIG EAST Freshman of the Week Avrie Nelsen. That win boosted the 'Cats to five on the year, marking the most for the team through nonconference play in the Samar Azem era. They are one of just two BIG EAST teams to have five wins going into conference-opening weekend.
Seton Hall (3-1-4) comes into its fifth consecutive road match with back-to-back draws to Lehigh and Wagner. They have gone 1-1-2 in the last four games with their lone loss being a 3-1 result at NJIT on September 7. They were 3-0-2 before that loss.
Fourth-year head coach Josh Osit's team is second in the BIG EAST with 3.88 saves per game. They have outscored their opponents 13-8 this season. Gianna Angelillo leads the team with five of those goals.
Saturday's match can be streamed on ESPN+.
