PHILADELPHIA, Pa. . – Freshman Back Brody Crampton (Orlando, Fla.) was named Rookie of the Week on Monday after scoring a pivotal tying goal in Villanova's 2-1 win at Connecticut on Saturday night in Storrs.
 
The goal was Cramton's first as a collegian and came off an expertly served corner kick from Michael teDuits. The Wildcats rallied after trailing 1-0 into the 86^th minute at Morrone Stdium.
 
Crampton has been a defensive stalwart for the Wildcats (3-3-3 overall, 1-0-1 BIG EAST), playing all 810 minutes in nine games at a critical position in Nova's 3-5-3 alignment.
 
The Wildcats next look to build on their momentum Friday at 3 p.m., when the 'Cats head back to New England to face Providence (ESPN+).
