UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.—Freshman thrower Yianni Papanikolas (Toms River, N.J.) topped 15 meters in the shot put to lead a trio of Villanova throwers who competed at the Nittany Lion Challenge on Saturday afternoon. Graduate student Tristan Bolinsky (Gordon, Pa.) was in action in both the shot put and the weight throw, while freshman Theo Hedgemon (Atlanta, Ga.) competed in the weight throw.
 
Papanikolas posted a mark of 15.09 meters in the shot put. Bolinsky threw 14.33 meters and added a mark of 16.23 meters in the weight throw. Hedgemon registered a mark of 15.38 meters in his first official collegiate competition.
