Villanova is set to host the Providence College Friars on Tuesday night at the Finneran Pavilion. The Wildcats enter play with a 15-5 overall record and an 8-3 BIG EAST mark, while the Friars are 10-11 on the year and 3-7 in league play.

Tuesday night's game will be the second meeting of the season between Villanova and Providence. In a game at Providence on Jan. 11, the Wildcats tallied an 85-55 win. In the victory,
Brynn McCurry led four Wildcats in double figures with a game-high 20 points. She was 9-of-11 from the field.
Jasmine Bascoe finished with 19 points and seven assists, while
Ryanne Allen had 14 points.
Kelsey Joens chipped in with 11 points. Providence was paced PayÂton Dunbar who had 13 points. For the game, Villanova was 33-of-69 from the field (47.8%), 11-of-30 from three-point range (36.7%) and 8-of-11 from the foul line (72.7%), while Providence shot 36.4 percent from the floor (20-of-55), 40.0 percent form long distance (6-of-15) and 64.3 percent from the foul line (9-of-14). Villanova committed just eight turnovers.
Of all the opponents Villanova has faced over the years, the Wildcats have played Providence more than any other team. Tuesday's game will be the 92nd all-time meeting. Villanova leads the series by a 62-29 margin. St. John's ranks second as the team Villanova has played the most at 81 times.
Beginning with Tuesday's game versus Providence, the Wildcats will play three of the next four games at the Finneran Pavilion. Following the Providence contest, the home stretch continues on Saturday, Jan. 31, versus DePaul. After playing at Butler on Feb. 4, Villanova will host Georgetown on Feb. 7. Villanova is 8-2 at home this year and have won seven-straight at the Finneran PavilÂion.
Allen has been dialed in from three-point range over the last 10 games where she is 23-of-41 (.560) from behind the arc. Allen is currently averaging 9.1 points per game, and she is shooting .493 from three-point range (37-of-73). The 37 threes lead the team lead.
The Wildcats are led in scoring by Bascoe who is averaging 16.9 points per game. Bascoe has seven 20-point games to her credit this season and 15 for her caÂreer. She has reached double figures in 18 of the 20 games this year and in 47 of 54 career games.
