NEW YORK - Rose Christie was named BIG EAST Midfielder of the Week following two standout performances against No. 12 Stony Brook and Xavier.

In Villanova's 18-10 loss to No. 12 Stony Brook, Christie recorded a hat trick and added an assist for four total points, while also collecting a ground ball and a draw control. In the 14-8 win over conference opponent Xavier, the junior posted a hat trick and an assist, along with a ground ball, two draw controls, and a caused turnover.

The Brightwaters, New York native leads the Wildcats with 27 points this season and has registered three hat tricks on the year.

Christie and the Wildcats will take on No. 2 Stanford on Saturday at 12 p.m. at Villanova Stadium.
