New for the 2025-26 academic year, Villanova will announce its top performers from the previous week in a press release and social media post each Monday afternoon. The weekly wrap will recognize one standout student-athlete from each sport who competed during the previous week.
 Â
VILLANOVA, Pa.—The men's and women's tennis each wrapped up regular season competition last week in advance of the BIG EAST Championships which take place this week in Cayce, S.C. In other Villanova Athletics action last week, the men's and women's track & field teams posted top times at the Duke Invitational and the Rutgers Relays. The baseball team plated a season-high 20 runs in a rout of Delaware State and the softball team was home for a three-game series against Seton Hall. There were 11 teams in action total during the week, and one student-athlete from each team forms this week's Villanova Athletics Weekly Wrap sponsored by Zajac and Padilla.
