VILLANOVA, Pa. – It's almost time for a new season in the Villanova volleyball world as head coach Josh Steinbach revealed the team's 2026 fall schedule on Tuesday.
The season begins with a trip to Malibu as the 'Cats head west for a tournament at Pepperdine, facing the host Waves as well as Sacramento State and South Dakota State in the opening weekend from Aug. 28-30.
Villanova then heads up to the Empire State for three days at Colgate, taking on Princeton and Arizona State in neutral site affairs before closing the weekend against the Raiders.
Washington, D.C. is the site of VU's final road tournament as the squad takes on American and Iowa State in our nation's capital from Sept. 10-11.
A Tuesday trip to Penn State the following week is VU's lone midweek battle of the non-con, and the opening month closes with the Villanova Classic when Princeton and UMBC come to town on Sept. 18-19.
BIG EAST play opens at Butler on Sept. 25 and the 'Cats finish the weekend at Xavier before coming home to Jake Nevin Field House to host Providence and Connecticut a week later.
A trip to DePaul and Marquette follows, then it's four straight home matches against Georgetown, Creighton, St. John's and Seton Hall from Oct. 14-24.
Villanova visits New England on Halloweekend with bouts at Connecticut and Providence, then the penultimate regular season weekend brings Marquette and DePaul to the Main Line for VU's home finale.
The 'Cats close out the schedule on the road, visiting Georgetown on Wednesday, Nov. 11 before shipping out to Nebraska for a battle at Creighton.
The Bluejays are also hosting this year's BIG EAST Tournament in Omaha at D.J. Sokol Arena, welcoming the league's top four finishers on Saturday, Nov. 21 before the conference championship on the 22nd.
