Hardeeville, S.C. — The Villanova golf team is set to play in the BIG EAST Championship at Riverton Pointe Golf and Country Club in Hardeeville, South Carolina Saturday through Monday.
The 'Cats head into the tournament after an 11th place finish at the West Virginia Invite April 14. Villanova is the seven seed in the tournament.
The Event
In a three-day, 54-hole event, the winner of the championship (individual and team) gain an automatic berth to the NCAA Championship.
The Course
Riverton Pointe opened in 2011 and was designed by the legendary Jack Nicklaus. The course is 7,219 yards long and has a par of 72.
Villanova Lineup
Ryan Pamer will hit off the tee first for the 'Cats, coming off a fifth place finish at West Virginia.
Matt Zerfass follows and hopes to continue his senior season which has seen the second-year Wildcat win twice.
Vibhav Alokam will hit third off the tee after finishing 80th in West Virginia.
Brockton English follows and will seek to continue his five-year career.
Nathan Marion rounds out the lineup as the Texas native makes his BIG EAST Championship debut.
