LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - Men's lacrosse junior defender Jack Gormley has been selected as a member of the inaugural Liam Gleason Humanitarian Award class. He is one of 77 Division I men's lacrosse student-athletes honored, alongside Kennedy Gleason, daughter of Coach Liam Gleason.
Established in January 2026 by Liam's family, former coaches, and close friends, the Liam Gleason Humanitarian Award recognizes student-athletes who demonstrate exceptional leadership, unwavering support for teammates and staff, strong sportsmanship, and impactful community involvement.
Each NCAA Division I Men's Lacrosse program selected a student-athlete to receive the award at the conclusion of the 2026 season. Determined by a vote of players, coaches, and staff, the honor is presented to the individual who best represents the teammate others strive to emulate.
"Jack is a member of the SAAC at Villanova University. He leads all of our efforts in community service and is our Team Impact liaison. Jack's energy, enthusiasm, and passion for Villanova University, this community, our program and his teammates in unmatched", said Head Coach Mike Corrado.
Gormley has remained on the team despite multiple season ending injuries, and stepped in as the team's substitution box coach this year.
