VILLANOVA, Pa. – Elijah Crawford has signed an aid agreement to join the Villanova Wildcats, it was announced today. The guard was a second team All-Missouri Valley Conference selection as a sophomore in 2025-26 while playing at UIC.
 
"The addition of Elijah is another important step as we build our roster," stated Villanova head coach Kevin Willard. "He is a dynamic on-court leader with the vision to create shots for his teammates and the skill to score himself. Elijah is a great fit for our program, and we're excited to have him join us."
 
A native of Augusta, Ga., Crawford attended Brewster Academy in New Hampshire, where he was listed as a Top 100 prospect in the class of 2024 by espn.com (96). In 2024-25 he appeared in 21 games at BYU, averaging 5.2 minutes per outing while also being named to the Academic All-Big 12 Rookie Team.
 
At UIC he averaged 14.3 points and 3.2 rebounds in 23 games for the Flames. He twice earned Missouri Valley Conference Newcomer of the Week honors.
 
Crawford joins previously announced additions to the 2026-27 Villanova roster Kwame Evans (Oregon), Devin Royal (Ohio State), Jake Fiegen (Cornell) and Adam Oumiddoch (Overtime Elite). Guard Tyler Perkins and forward Matt Hodge will return to the Wildcats in 2026-27 as well.
