VILLANOVA, Pa. – Villanova today announced the addition of 7-3 center Luigi Suigo, a native of Tradate, Varese, Italy, to its 2026-27 roster. Earlier today Suigo withdrew his name from consideration from the 2026 National Basketball Association Draft after having been one of 73 invitee to the NBA Draft Combine last month.

Suigo played for BC Mega Basket in the Adriatic (ABA) League in 2025-26, averaging 18.3 minutes, 7.9 points and 5.1 rebounds across 26 games.

Suigo becomes the latest newcomer to join the Wildcats lineup alongside returnees
Tyler Perkins,
Matt Hodge and
Nico Onyekwere. The list of additions includes transfer forwards Kwame Evans Jr. (Oregon), Devin Royal (Ohio State) along with transfer guards Elijah Crawford (UIC), Jake Fiegen (Cornell) and Darryl "Buddy" Simmons II (St. Bonaventure). Freshman guard Adam Oumiddoch is another new face for the Wildcats in 2026-27.

Villanova will open the season with a game in Suigo's home nation as it meets Notre Dame on Sunday, Nov. 1 at the Eternal City Tip-Off in Rome, approximately a 6.5 hour ride from his hometown.
