Villanova placed three runners among the top eight in a field of more than 125 competitors.

Seven of the 10 runners in the Wildcats lineup are in their first or second year of collegiate eligibility.

The Wildcats finished first among 13 teams, scoring 44 points to lead runner-up Penn by 18.

Collegiate Debuts

All four of the team's first year runners made their collegiate debut, including top Villanova finisher Hannah Jicha, who placed third in 17:49.3 on the 5,000-meter course.

"It was really fun to just go out there and compete and see where I'm at with my training. There are a lot of girls around me in training that I knew would push me out here today. That was really nice to have them and see them with me. I really wanted to push myself to see how I could finish. That was really my goal, knowing there were some girls I would be around and see what I could do."
