VILLANOVA, Pa. - Two Villanova Wildcats who helped spark a four-goal outburst in a win last week at the Higgins Soccer Complex, were today honored by the Philly Soccer Six.

Luke Martelli, a redshirt junior from Kinzers, Pa., scored the go-ahead goal for the Wildcats in what became a 4-2 victory over Soccer Six rival Drexel on Sept. 22. he then contributed an assist on the first collegiate goal of freshman Maximos Chrisafinis to extend the margin to 3-1.

Martelli is the Soccer Six Player of the Week, Chrisafinis the Soccer Six Rookie of the Week.

The Wildcats (4-4-1 overall, 0-2-0 BIG EAST) return to action this Friday when they host UConn at 3 p.m. in their BIG EAST home opener.
