LONG BEACH, Calif. – After a strong 4-0-1 start to the 2026 campaign, Villanova finds itself in the top-25 in the latest national poll from TopDrawerSoccer, sitting at No. 23 in the nation as announced on Monday afternoon.

This is the first time that Villanova has made the national ranking from TopDrawerSoccer, currently sitting as the lone BIG EAST side in the list. In terms of general rankings, this is the first time that Villanova has seen a spot in a national poll since it was No. 19 in the NSCAA (now United Soccer Coaches) poll back on Sept. 16, 2008.

The Wildcats have been on a tear to start the season, outscoring their opponents 23-0 through the first five games of the season, giving them the third-best goal differential in the nation. Their unbeaten start through this point of the year is their best start to a year since they went 4-0-5 to open the 2023 season.

Villanova is one of just three teams left in the nation who have yet to allow a goal on the year, sitting alongside Cal Baptist and Saint Mary's. The 'Cats lead the BIG EAST in a slew of other stat categories including total points (69), assists per game (4.60), corner kicks per game (8.40) and scoring offense (4.60).

The next match on the docket for the 'Cats comes this Thursday as Bucknell comes to town. Kickoff from Higgins Soccer Complex is set for 4 p.m.
