Villanova Career: Played for the Wildcats from 2017-21 and spent most of his career as the team’s starting first baseman … First team All-BIG EAST selection as a sophomore in 2018 when he batted .298 with 14 doubles and five home runs … Steady presence in the middle of the Villanova lineup who hit for a high average while displaying power to all fields … One of the top defensive first baseman in school history … As of the end of the 2021 season ranked in the top 20 in school history in career hit by pitch (11th), walks (tie-13th), doubles (tie-16th), games started (18th) and games played (tie-20th) … Also ranked third in school history in putouts and fielding chances, eighth in fielding percentage and fourth in double plays … A career .268/.386/.394 hitter while playing in 182 games with 169 starts … Had 160 hits in 597 at-bats … Hit 36 doubles, six triples and nine home runs to go with 76 runs scored and 83 runs batted in … Drew 89 walks and was hit by a pitch 31 times … Struck out 166 times … Stole seven bases and was caught three times … Hit eight sacrifice flies … Fielding stats included 1,237 putouts, 97 assists and just 16 errors in 1,350 chances … Had a .988 career fielding percentage and was one of four players in school history to turn at least 100 double plays (102) … Was a five-time selection to the BIG EAST All-Academic Team and a 10-time member of the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll during his career.

2021: Started all 35 games and led the team with a .422 on-base percentage for the year … Ranked second on the team in batting average, runs scored, hits, triples, home runs, RBI and walks … Slashed .290/.422/.419 with 36 hits in 124 at-bats … Had 17 runs scored and 22 runs batted in while hitting six doubles, two triples and two home runs … Drew 21 walks and tied for the team lead getting hit by a pitch eight times … Struck out 22 times … Hit one sacrifice fly and stole four bases without being caught … Batted .319 against right-handed pitching … Led the team by advancing runners in 56.4% of opportunities … Was second on the squad with a .289 batting average with runners in scoring position … Tallied nine multi-hit games, including five contests with three hits or more … Recorded three consecutive three-hit games in a series sweep of Saint Joseph’s and was named to the weekly BIG EAST Honor Roll on April 5 after he went 10-for-13 (.769) with four runs scored, seven RBI, two doubles, a triple, two walks and a hit by pitch in the three games against the Hawks … Reached base safely 13 times in 16 plate appearances in the series … Was on base at least once in 28 of 35 games played … Had a hit in all three games of a BIG EAST series sweep against Georgetown, going 3-for-11 with two runs scored, two RBI, a double, a walk and a stolen base in the series … Went 5-for-8 with a triple and two RBI in a two-game sweep of Stony Brook … Had a 3-for-4 day with two runs scored, one RBI, a double, a walk and a steal at Butler on April 24 … Reached base four times in a win over St. John’s on May 21 when he went 2-for-3 with two walks, a stolen base, a run scored and two RBI … Played outstanding defense at first base with a .992 fielding percentage in 261 total chances (235 putouts, 24 assists, two errors).

2020: One of five players on the team who started all 14 games of the abbreviated season … Started all 14 games at first base and batted .273/.365/.436 on the year … Led the team with four doubles and 12 runs batted in … Went 15-for-55 at the plate with six runs scored, one triple and one home run … Drew four walks, was hit by a pitch a team-high four times and struck out 15 times … Stole one base in his only attempt … Continued to be a top-notch defender at first base with 115 putouts, seven assists and only one error in 123 total chances (.992 fielding percentage) … Had three hits and drove in three runs in wins over Maine and Bucknell … Was 3-for-4 with a double, a triple and a run scored in the Maine win and went 3-for-5 with a home run against Bucknell … Had two hits in the season opener against Arizona State and was 2-for-6 with a double, a run scored and an RBI in a victory over Saint Louis.

2019: Played in 46 games with 37 starts … Batted .203 (24-for-118) but finished second on the team in walks and posted a .378 on-base percentage which was more in line with his career performance … Had six doubles, one triple and one home run on the year while score 19 runs and driving in 11 … Was hit by a pitch 10 times to tie for second on the team in that category, and struck out 44 times … Stole two bases in three tries and recorded three sacrifice flies … Posted a .992 fielding percentage with 249 putouts, 13 assists and two errors in 264 total chances … Helped turn 20 double plays … In addition to playing first base, made eight pitching appearances including three starts … Went 0-1 with a 6.75 ERA over 14 2/3 innings pitched … Allowed 20 hits and 12 runs (11 earned) while walking seven and striking out seven … Did not allow a home run to the 66 batters he faced … Had five multi-hit games on the season, including three in a row in a span of four days against Navy and La Salle … In a two-game home series against Navy went 4-for-6 with two doubles, a walk and two RBI … Followed that by going 2-for-3 with two runs scored, one RBI, a double, a triple and a walk in the opener of a three-game series against La Salle … Homered and drove in two runs against Central Michigan … Scored a season-high three runs in a win over St. Bonaventure and at Army West Point … Had three relief appearances in which he worked two innings, including a scoreless appearance with two strikeouts versus Georgetown … Made starts against Saint Joseph’s, Monmouth and Maryland in non-conference action … Pitched a season-high three innings against Monmouth and allowed one earned run on three hits while walking one.

2018: First team All-BIG EAST selection at first base … Started all 48 games and slashed .298/.403/.472 while leading the Wildcats in most of the major offensive categories … Won the team’s triple crown by pacing Villanova in batting average along with team-highs of five home runs and 31 runs batted in … Led the team with 14 doubles, five home runs and 28 walks while tying for the team lead with 53 hits … Went 53-for-178 at the plate with 28 runs scored and six times being hit by a pitch … Struck out 57 times … Recorded four sacrifice flies … Played strong defense at first base with 342 putouts, 26 assists and seven errors for a .981 fielding percentage in 375 total chances … Had 11 multi-hit games, a team-high eight multi-RBI games and put together a streak of 19 consecutive games reaching base safely during the year … Stepped up his level of play against BIG EAST opponents and batted .324 with a .535 slugging percentage, 15 RBI, six doubles and three home runs during conference play … Tied for second in the league in doubles, tied for fourth in RBI and tied for seventh in home runs in BIG EAST games … Had a career day against Xavier when he was 5-for-6 with two runs scored, three RBI, a double, a home run and a walk in a 13-10 extra-inning victory … Had three hits and drove in three runs against Dartmouth … Was 3-for-4 with two runs scored, a double and two walks in a win over Norfolk State … Made two pitching appearances out of the bullpen and worked 1 1/3 innings … Pitched a scoreless inning with two strikeouts at Georgetown and also pitched in relief against Creighton.

2017: Played in 39 games with 35 starts, all of which came at first base ... Ranked second on the team in batting average, third in on-base percentage and third in slugging percentage ... Hit .262 (32-for-122) with a .338 on-base mark and a .328 slugging percentage ... Had six runs scored and seven runs batted in while hitting six doubles and a triple ... Drew 11 walks and struck out 28 times ... Hit by a pitch three times ... Had one stolen base attempt ... Recorded nine multi-hit games, including a pair of three-hit contests ... Went 3-for-4 with a double against Penn ... Was 3-for-10 with a double, a triple, a run scored and two hit by pitch in a three-game series versus George Washington ... Went 2-for-2 with a double in the second game of a doubleheader against Wofford ... Played excellent defense at first base with 296 putouts, 27 assists and four errors ... Compiled a .988 fielding percentage and helped turn 26 double plays … Started all 18 BIG EAST games at first base and hit .233 (14-for-60) with a .324 on-base percentage ... Had one double, four runs scored and three RBI while drawing seven walks and striking out 10 times ... Was hit by a pitch once ... Went 4-for-10 with a double, a run scored, an RBI and a walk in a three-game series at Creighton ... Seton Hall Prep: Earned two varsity letters in both baseball and basketball ... Was a first baseman and pitcher for the baseball team, as well as a forward on the basketball team ... As a baseball player, was a third team all-state and first team all-county selection as a senior ... Also earned MSG Varsity second team All-Tri State Area honors as a senior and was a first team All-Non Public selection ... Team was the Non-Public A state champion his senior year ... Statistics included batting .364 with three home runs and 37 runs batted in, as well as posting a 1.62 ERA as a pitcher to go with 41 strikeouts and a 6-1 record ... Earned Essex County Honorable Mention honors and was a first team all-area choice in basketball his senior year ... Winner of the NJSIAA Scholar-Athlete Award and also earned the Tuohey Award for having a 4.0 or above grade-point average all four years of high school.

Father played soccer in college and was a defender for Scranton (1981-85) ... Older brother, Patrick, pitched in college at James Madison ... Hobbies include fishing, playing golf and spending time with friends and family ... Chose to attend Villanova for the excellent academic reputation of the Villanova School of Business, as well as the chance to play college baseball ...
