CAREER COLLEGIATE RESULTS

Competed for the Wildcats from 2018-21 in cross country and the middle distance events on the track … As a senior in 2021 was part of a BIG EAST title in the 4x800 meter relay at the outdoor conference meet where he ran the leadoff leg of the relay … Registered personal best times in the 1000 meters, the 1500 meters and the Mile during his collegiate career … Was named to the BIG EAST All-Academic Team three times and to the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll twice.

CROSS COUNTRY

2021: Competed in the Haverford Invitational in his only race of the season; Haverford Invitational (10/22): Recorded a time of 21:46.7 over four miles on the Alumni Course at Haverford and finished 19^th overall in his lone meet of the year.

2019: Ran in three races during the season ... Lowered his personal best times for both four-mile and 8000 meter courses; Main Line Invitational (9/20): Recorded a time of 21:25.3 over four miles in the season opener, finishing 31st overall and third among the contingent of Villanova runners who were in action at the meet; Paul Short Run (10/5): In his only 8K race of the season tallied a personal best time of 25:37.2 at Lehigh; Haverford Invitational (10/25): Placed 13th overall in 21:10.9 at the local meet ... His time was the lowest in three career races on the Haverford course.

2018: Competed twice as an unattached runner during the season; Main Line Invitational (9/14): Recorded a time of 21:40.6 over four miles and finished 59th in a field of 116 runners; Princeton Invitational (10/12): Registered a time of 26:06.6 in the 8000 meter race and placed 141st overall.
 

INDOOR

2021: Recorded a personal best time in the Mile in his only race of the indoor season; Army West Point (2/6): Tallied a third place finish in the Mile and posted a personal best time of 4:15.34 in the dual meet at Army.

2020: Competed at four meets during the season ... Recorded a personal best time in the 1000 meters at the Villanova Invitational; Wesley A. Brown Invitational (1/18): Opened his season by finishing sixth in the Mile at Navy with a time of 4:25.30; Villanova Invitational (2/1): Came in 10th in the 1000 meters at the Wildcats home meet and registered a personal best time of 2:32.25; Sykes & Sabock Challenge (2/8): Ran the 800 meters at Penn State and crossed the line in 1:59.64; FastTrack National Invitational (2/14): Came in 13th in the invitational section of the 800 meters in 1:58.16.

2019: Ran three races us an unattached runner, competing exclusively in the Mile; Gotham Cup (1/18): Recorded a time of 4:32.29 in his first race of the season; Villanova Invitational (2/2): Finished in 14th place with a time of 4:25.86 at the Wildcats home meet; FastTrack National Invitational (2/8): Tallied a personal best time of 4:25.04 in his final race of the season.
 

OUTDOOR

2021: Won his first career BIG EAST title as part of the Wildcats lineup in the 4x800 meter relay at the conference championships … Earned All-BIG EAST honors on the winning relay squad and also ran the 1500 meters at the conference meet … Competed at a total of seven meets during the season and recorded a personal best time in the 1500 meters in his second race of the year; Villanova Opener (3/19): Ran the 1500 meters in the first outdoor meet of the season and came in fourth with a time of 4:05.23 on a frigid day at Villanova Stadium; Penn Challenge (3/27): Posted a personal best time of 3:54.49 in the 1500 meters and notched a ninth place finish in his second outing of the year; Philadelphia Big 5 Meet (4/3): Came in seventh in the 1500 meters with a time of 3:58.19; Quaker Invite (4/17): Runner-up in the 1500 meters with a time of 3:58.41; Philadelphia Metropolitan Collegiate Invitational (4/24): Posted a time of 4:01.64 to finish fourth in the 1500 meters on the traditional weekend of the Penn Relays at Franklin Field; Penn Twilight (5/1): Competed in the Mile and recorded a time of 4:21.39 to notch a 10^th place finish; BIG EAST Championships (5/15): Ran the 1500 meters individually and also the first leg of the Wildcats conference champion 4x800 meter relay … Won his first career BIG EAST title and earned his first career All-BIG EAST honor as part of the relay, which finished first with a winning time of 7:25.26 … The men’s 1500 meters was a straight final and he finished 13^th with a time of 4:00.03.

2019: Penn Challenge (3/22): Ran in one race as an unattached runner and recorded a time of 4:12.95 at the first meet of the outdoor season.
 

BEFORE VILLANOVA

Freehold High School: Earned a total of 12 varsity letters during his scholastic career, including four each in cross country, track & field and soccer … Was his school’s Athlete of the Year as a senior … During his senior year was the runner-up at the cross country state championships and the Shore Conference champion in the 3200 meters … First team All-Shore honoree … Six-time qualifier for the New Balance Nationals … Achieved Honor Roll status academically all four years … Recipient of the Pam Dukes Scholarship his senior year.

Personal: Born 11/11/99 in Manalapan, N.J. … One of three sons of David and Lenora Ackerman … Siblings are Matthew (25) and Andrew (18) … Enjoys playing sports such as soccer, basketball and baseball in his spare time … Is a fan of rap music and roots for the New York Yankees … Likes to spend time with family and friends … Chose to attend Villanova for the combination of its elite academic and athletic programs, and because he had long admired the University … Enrolled in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences ...
