Villanova Athletics and Nike are proud to present the Villanova P.A.W.S program: Providing Athletes With Support. The P.A.W.S. program helps to ensure the best quality experience for Villanova student-athletes, both in the classroom and on the playing fields. Wildcat student-athletes represent the best in athletic and academic achievements, and Nike is proud to recognize these student leaders. This week's P.A.W.S. honors go to Wildcat senior Janel Schillig, a biology major and women's soccer standout from Marlton, N.J./ and Cherokee High School. This past week, Janel led the Wildcats to a 2-0-1 record, with shutout wins over Seton Hall and Pittsburgh and a 1-1 tie versus No. 22 West Virginia. In 300 minutes in net, she saved 25 shots and allowed just one goal. For the season, Schillig has four shutouts, a .902 save percentage and a miniscule 0.61 goals against average.
