Villanova Athletics and Nike are proud to present the Villanova P.A.W.S program: Providing Athletes With Support. The P.A.W.S. program helps to ensure the best quality experience for Villanova student-athletes, both in the classroom and on the playing fields. Wildcat student-athletes represent the best in athletic and academic achievements, and Nike is proud to recognize these student leaders. This week's P.A.W.S. honors go to Wildcat junior Gary Johnson, a liberal arts major and Villanova football standout from Waukegan, Ill., and Francis Park High School. On Saturday, Sept. 29, Johnson recorded 13 tackles, 11 solo tackles, one tackle for a loss and one interception in Villanova's 31-30 comeback victory over the 17th ranked Richmond Spiders. For the season, he has 22 tackles and a team-high two interceptions for the 3-0 Wildcats, who are currently ranked 13th in Division I-AA.
