Villanova Career: A versatile player that contributed as a designated hitter and pitcher…Appeared in 20 games as a hitter and 19 as a reliever…Had a batting average of .286 in seven at bats and held opens to a .246 batting average in 65 at bats... Named to BIG EAST All-Academic Team and Athletic Director’s Honor Roll in the fall and spring.
2023: Appeared in 20 games as an infielder and 19 as a pitcher…In seven at bats he recorded a .286 batting average, .429 slugging percentage, and a .286 on-base percentage…Had two hits with one being a double, and three strikeouts…When appearing as a pitcher he recorded an 0-3 recorded with a 10.61 ERA in 18.2 innings pitched…Yielded 16 hits, 24 runs (22 earned) in 65 at bats giving up a .246 batting average…Those at bats resulted in 13 strikeouts, 22 walks, three doubles, and three home runs…In 1.1 innings pitched against Georgetown on April 2, he recorded a season high three strikeouts.
Career (Colby): Fourth-year member of the Colby baseball team who has played in 49 career games with 48 starts…He had some experience on the mount with a total of 17.2 innings pitched … Owns a 4-2 record with two saves and a 5.23 ERA … Has 29 strikeouts while allowing 17 hits and 13 runs (10 earned) to go along with nine walks issued … Opponents are batting .254 against him and he has given up just two home runs to 82 batters faced… He has thrown five wild pitches, hit three players by pitch, and allowed two sacrifice flies and one sacrifice bunt…In the field he has had 47 putouts, four assists, no errors, and a fielding percentage of 1.000 all collected in 2021 and 2022 seasons… He has had 171 plate appearances batting .386 with a .476 on-base percentage and .661 slugging percentage only striking out 39 times… He went (66-171) hitting 19 doubles, two triples, eight home runs, scored 44 runs and had 53 runs batted in… He walked 22 times, got hit by a pitch 10 times, hit three sacrifice flies, and stole eight bases.Â
Personal: Born 06/18/00 in Barrington, RI.… Son of Dave and Pam Maher… Has three siblings, Hunter, Andrew, and Caroline… Chose to attend Villanova for the high level of academics and the opportunity to continue his collegiate baseball career with the Villanova team… His father played golf at Babson College and his mother played tennis at Bentley University… Plans to get his Master’s in Finance.
