Villanova Career: Loyal member of the Villanova pitching staff who demonstrated growth during his first three collegiate seasons … Appeared in 10 games out of the bullpen and logged 9 2/3 innings pitched with 59 batters faced and seven strikeouts … Yielded 18 hits and 17 runs with 14 walks … Named to the BIG EAST All-Academic Team in 2019-20 and was a three-time Athletic Director’s Honor Roll selection.
 
2021: Made his only appearance of the season in a relief outing at Creighton on April 10.
 
2020: Did not appear in any games.
 
2019: Made nine relief appearances as a freshman … Pitched 9 2/3 innings and allowed 17 runs on 18 hits, while walking 13 and striking out seven … Was unscored on in three of his first five outings of the year, including pitching a scoreless inning in a win over St. Bonaventure in his collegiate debut … Recorded four outs and tied a season high with three strikeouts against LIU … Worked a 1-2-3 innings against Bucknell.
 
Cherokee High School: Earned two varsity letters in both baseball and football … Was named a Perfect Game preseason Northeast Region honorable mention All-High School senior prior to the 2018 season … Also was a two-time preseason Underclass All-American selection by Perfect Game … Inducted to the National Honor Society and was a two-year member of both the Business Honor Society and the Spanish Honor Society … Earned his school’s Super Chief scholar-athlete award.
 
Personal: Born 5/4/00 in Marlton, N.J. … Oldest of three children of Jim and Michelle Franchetti … Has two younger siblings, Eric (18) and Marissa (14) … Hobbies include going to the beach and snowboarding … Chose to attend Villanova for its academic reputation and the chemistry of the baseball team … Enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences and has yet to declare a major.
