Collegiate Career: Played for Villanova in 2021 as a graduate transfer and a sixth-year collegiate player … Five-year member of the Stanford baseball team prior to his Wildcats career … Strong defensive player at both corner outfield spots … Showed power from the right side offensively … In his one season with Villanova in 2021 played in 20 games with 15 starts and batted .153 in 63 plate appearances … At Stanford he played for a team that won the Pac-12 title in 2018, made three straight NCAA Regional appearances (2017-19) and advanced to a Super Regional in 2019 … Hit four career pinch-hit home runs for the Cardinal … Played in 43 games for Stanford and slashed .236/.311/.473 while going 13-for-55 at the plate … His overall collegiate totals included 63 games with 18 starts … Batted .193 (22-for-114) with 11 runs scored, 12 runs batted in, four doubles, one triple, four home runs, seven walks, one hit by a pitch and 40 strikeouts … Had 24 putouts in 24 chances in the outfield … While at Villanova in 2020-21 was named to the BIG EAST All-Academic Team and earned a spot on the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll for both the Fall and Spring semesters.

2021: Played in 20 games with 15 starts in his only season for the Wildcats … Batted .153 (9-for-59) with three doubles and a triple across 63 plate appearances … Had a .180 on-base percentage and a .237 slugging percentage … Scored three runs and had five runs batted in while drawing two walks and recording two sacrifice bunts … Struck out 21 times … Started 10 times in left field and five times in right … Had his best offensive game of the season at Saint Joseph’s on April 3 when he was 3-for-5 with a double, a triple, two runs scored and an RBI in a 16-5 victory … Went 1-for-4 with an RBI double in the season opener at Radford on February 27 … Had a pinch-hit single at St. John’s on the final day of the season … Played strong defense in the corner outfield spots with 21 putouts and one error in 22 chances (.955 fielding percentage).

2020 (Stanford): Played in nine games with three starts during the abbreviated season … Went 3-for-13 (.231) at the plate with a double and four strikeouts … Made his first collegiate start at Cal State Fullerton and was 1-for-3 with a double … Also started against Houston and was 1-for-2 … Came off the bench to get a hit against Michigan.

2019 (Stanford): Appeared in 15 games off the bench and batted .294/.333/.471 over 18 plate appearances … Went 5-for-17 at the plate with three runs scored, a home run and two runs batted in … Walked once and struck out seven times … Hit a pinch-hit home run, the fourth of his career, against Sacramento State … Had a season-high two hits against California.

2018 (Stanford): Saw action in 14 games and was a key hitter off the bench … Went 4-for-12 (.333) at the plate with three home runs, five runs scored and five runs batted in … Drew four walks, was hit by a pitch once and struck out three times … His slash line over 17 plate appearances came out to .333/.529/1.083 … All three of his home runs came in pinch-hitting roles … Tied the game in the ninth inning against Oregon State with a solo shot … Hit pinch-hit home runs in consecutive games during a series at Utah.

2017 (Stanford): Did not appear in any games.

2016 (Stanford): Appeared in five games ass a freshman and went 1-for-13 at the plate while striking out five times … Made his collegiate debut at UC Davis and was 1-for-4 in a 5-2 victory … Also appeared in games against Texas, Vanderbilt and Kansas during the year.

College Park High School: Earned three varsity letters in baseball … From his sophomore through senior years was a three-time first team all-league left fielder and a three-time first team all-academic honoree.

Personal: Born 4/24/97 in Modesto, Calif. … Only child of Chris Oar and Candy Sauls Oar … Hobbies include photography and videography … Has a cousin who competed for the Australian national soccer team … Graduated from Stanford … Enrolled as a graduate student in the Villanova School of Business and is pursuing a Master of Science in Finance … Chose to attend Villanova for the culture of the baseball program and the University’s academic reputation.
