2019 (Duke): Saw action in all 21 games and made 19 starts at forward … Tallied four goals, two assists and 10 points on the year … Her first career point came with an assist on the game-winning goal in a victory at No. 25 William & Mary … Scored her first career goal in a win over Ohio … Registered two goals against Princeton and also notched a score versus James Madison … Dished out an assist against Wake Forest … Recorded 24 shots and 10 shots on goal for the year.

2018 (Duke): Played in 22 games as a true freshman and made her first collegiate start in the regular season finale against Ohio … Attempted 15 shots and placed 12 shots on goal while playing 472 minutes on the year.

Club Field Hockey: Played for Belgium national teams in the U-14, U-15, U-16 and U-18 age groups … While playing on the U-18 squad traveled to the International Hockey Federation’s 6 Nations Tournament and played in a friendly against the United States … Her club experience included playing for KHC Dragons from 2006-10 and 2013-18, R. Antwerp HC in 2012 and The Netherlands club B.H.V. Push in 2011.

Personal: Born 12/27/00 in Helsingør, Denmark … Younger of two children and the only daughter of Harry and Marlène van de Laar … Has an older brother, Lamber Jan (27) … Father played field hockey and was a youth team coach … Enjoys skiing as well as spending time with family and friends in her spare time … Graduated from Duke in Spring 2022 and is pursuing a Master of Finance at Villanova … Chose to come to the Wildcats to advance her academic and athletic careers through pursuing her Master’s degree and playing for a strong field hockey program.
