Returning for his second year on the Villanova staff in 2016 is Mark Powell. After serving as a defensive assistant last year, Powell will move over to the offensive side of the ball this season and will coach the Wildcat tight ends.

Powell arrived at Villanova from Yale University where he helped on the defensive side of the ball and was a special teams assistant in 2014. During the 2013 season, Powell was a defensive assistant at his alma mater Lafayette College.

He is a graduate of Lafayette where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and was a member of the Leopard football team, including the 2013 squad that captured the Patriot League championship.

Powell is single and reside in Philadelphia, Pa.
