Mercersburg Academy

A four-year varsity starter and two-time captain who accumulated 23 goals and 17 assists during his prep career … Played club soccer for Greencastle United (2007-12); DC United (2012-17) and Baltimore Armour (2017-22).

Personal

Parents Gershon Bangura Sr., and Miata Bangura originate from Sierra Leone (West African). The family migrated to America in 1996 due to the civil war, settling in Greencastle, Pa. Bangura and his two brothers were born in Pennsylvania. Gershon Bangura Sr. works in the criminal justice system while Miata Bangura is in the health care field.
