Scored a goal in the season opening victory over Rider ono Aug. 26 at the Higgins Soccer Complex ... His best goal came in the 80th minute of a 1-0 win over Butler on Sept. 25 ... Finished with two goals and four points ... Supplied energy and an attacking weapon as a reserve for most of the season ... It was his move towards goal that drew a foul from a Vermont defender that led to the Wildcats' penalty kick goal in a 1-0 NCAA Tournament victory at Vermont on Nov. 18.

Theo Quartey. Shamsudeen was named to the 2017 High School All-American Game. Tallied 67 goals and 32 assists in three seasons at Canterbury, where he earned The C.T. Fisher '72 Soccer Award, presented to the soccer player who has made the greatest contribution to the soccer program. Received Connecticut All-state recognition as both a sophomore and junior. He also was part of a two-time club state champion, Beachside (2016) Black Rock fc (2017).
