A top flight attacking threat who has battled a series of injuries during his time in the Blue & whihte.

2021
Overcame yet another early season injury to contribute to the Wildcats' march to the NCAA Tournament ... Scored a goal in the season opening victory over Rider ono Aug. 26 at the Higgins Soccer Complex ... His best goal came in the 80th minute of a 1-0 win over Butler on Sept. 25 ... Finished with two goals and four points ... Supplied energy and an attacking weapon as a reserve for most of the season ... It was his move towards goal that drew a foul from a Vermont defender that led to the Wildcats' penalty kick goal in a 1-0 NCAA Tournament victory at Vermont on Nov. 18.

SPRING 2021 (2020)

Limited to four games - three of them starts - by injury ... Played a total of 156 minutes ... Generated three shots.

2019

Selected to the Philly Soccer Six All-Rookie Team ... Appeared in 16 games, starting 10 of those ... Scored a dramatic game-winning goal at La Salle on Oct. 15 ... His goal - scored with Nova down a man - lifted the Wildcats after the Explorers had deadlocked the contest at one late in the second half ... The Wildcats prevailed 2-1 ... Also scored a decisive goal in a Sept. 7 1-0 victory over Temple at the Higgins Soccer Complex ... Finished with two goals and four points for the season.

A preseason knee injury ended his season before it began ... Saw no game or practice action.

PERSONAL

A product of the Right to Dream Academy in Ghana, which also produced former Wildcats' standoutsOscar Umar and Theo Quartey. Shamsudeen was named to the 2017 High School All-American Game. Tallied 67 goals and 32 assists in three seasons at Canterbury, where he earned The C.T. Fisher '72 Soccer Award, presented to the soccer player who has made the greatest contribution to the soccer program. Received Connecticut All-state recognition as both a sophomore and junior. He also was part of a two-time club state champion, Beachside (2016) Black Rock fc (2017).
