On Carr: Showed offensive potential last season and made terrific progress during the course of the year ... Capable of hitting for a high average and will be an important part of the Villanova offense this season ... Versatile player who can play the corner infield positions.

2012: Played in 38 games with 27 starts, with each of his starts coming at first base ... Batted .268 (26-for-97) with a .336 on-base percentage and a .299 slugging percentage ... Scored nine runs and had 12 runs batted in with three doubles, seven walks and 28 strikeouts ... Was hit by a pitch three times and had one sacrifice bunt ... In the field handled 230 chances with 210 putouts, 14 assists and six errors (.974 fielding percentage) ... Had season highs of three hits, four RBI and two doubles in a win over NYIT ... Club Baseball: Member of the UnderArmour Baseball Factory national team in 2010 and was selected to the 2010 Rawlings World Series East Bay squad by high school coaches, college coaches and pro scouts ... During high school played for NorCal Baseball and the Danville Hoots, two of the top travel teams on the West Coast ... Danville[apos]s 2011 18U summer team was one of 10 teams to qualify for the Connie Mack World Series in Farmington, N.M. ... The team also won the Southern California Wally Kincaid Wood Bat Championship and went on to win the North State Connie Mack Championship as well as the Connie Mack West Regional ... Batted .320 with 15 runs batted in for Danville during the 2011 summer season ... Also hit .403 with 20 RBI during the 2010 summer season.

Monte Vista High School: Four-year letterwinner in baseball and was a two-year varsity starter ... Also played soccer his freshman year and was a defender ... Prior to his senior season in baseball was named to the UnderArmour Preseason All-America Team as well as the preseason all-county honorable mention squad ...
