Samantha Carangi begins her first year as the program’s Assistant Director of Women’s Basketball Operations in 2024-25.  In this role, she will assist with various administrative responsibilities, including student-athlete academic progress, practice planning, marketing strategies and social media.
 
Prior to being elevated to this position, Carangi was Villanova’s women’s basketball intern for the last two seasons.

Carangi is no stranger to the Villanova women’s basketball program, having been a player for the Wildcats from 2017-2021. Due to injuries, Carangi was only able to play in 37 career games where she tallied 74 points and 41 rebounds and shot .417 from three-point range (20-of-48). Her Mom, Jen Snell, played at Villanova from 1991-96, and her aunt, Mary Beth Snell, played for the Wildcats from 1996-2000 before serving as an assistant coach under former Villanova head coach Harry Perretta.
