VILLANOVA, Pa. - Villanova University head football coach Andy Talley today announced the signing of 12 recruits to National Letters of Intent. All 12 student-athletes will enroll at Villanova in the fall of 2006 and be members of the Wildcat football program.

The 12 recruit breakdown includes three defensive backs, three defensive linemen, two running backs, two offensive linemen, one quarterback and one linebacker.

New Jersey was the home state of four of the 12 recruits, followed by Pennsylvania and Florida with two each. The Wildcats also signed one player each from Ohio, California, Virginia and Maryland.

Villanova will open the 2006 season on Saturday, Sept. 2 at Division I-A Central Florida.
