Villanova, Pa. - After back-to-back losses, Villanova looked to even its record as the Wildcats took on in-state rival Lafayette. Scoring the first two goals of the game, Nova jumped out to a 2-0 lead on goals by Eric Dauer and Christopher Larson. With 10:50 remaining in the first, the Leopards got on the board with a score by Morgan Battle. Exchanging goals throughout, the Cats took a commanding 7-3 lead after the first quarter of play.
As the pace remained quick, Andy D'Amico scored two of his four goals while Christopher Larson added another score to bring the Wildcats' lead to 10-4 at the break. In the third, Villanova's four unanswered goals were too much for the Leopards as Nova ran past Lafayette, 17-10.
Villanova (2-2) was led by Christopher Larson who had a tremendous game, tallying seven goals, while Andy D'Amico added four goals. For Lafayette (1-3), Morgan Battle netted three goals and two assists and Kevin Bramby had four goals to lead the Leopards. The Wildcats will return to action Saturday, March 20 to face Dartmouth, at Villanova Stadium.
