Men's Tennis Picks Up Third Straight Victory

Baltimore, Md. --- On Tuesday, April 2, the Villanova men's tennis team notched their third straight victory of the season by defeating the Towson Tigers in a non-conference match-up in Baltimore, Md. The victory evens Villanova's record to 6-6 overall while Towson falls to 6-11 on the season.

Six Wildcat players were victorious in singles play on the afternoon led by senior A.J. Rohde who took home a 6-3, 7-5 victory at the No. 2 spot. Playing at third singles, junior Ryan Devine defeated Dan Selzer 6-3, 6-0 while freshman Aaron Kusza rallied to defeat Trey Ragase 1-6, 6-3, 6-4. Other Wildcat players victorious for Villanvoa included Andy Herron, John Toppel and Andy O'Neill.

In doubles play, Villanvoa was led by Rohde and Kusza who defeated Andrew Davis and Chris Rowland 8-2 at third doubles.

Villanova will return on Thursday, April 4, when they travel to Easton, Pa. to battle non-conference foe Lafayette at 3:00 p.m.
