West Chester, PA-On Wednesday, September 18th the Villanova field hockey team fell to the host West Chester Rams by the score of 2-0. The win evens West Chester's record at 3-3, while Villanova falls to 3-4 on the season.

West Chester scored what proved to be the game winner 18:26 into the contest, when Stacy Tomes fed Laura Bausch for her first tally of the season. The Rams added and insurance goal with just under nine minutes left to play, with Kate Randle notching her second goal of the season.

Villanova earned seven penalty corners, but could only muster three shots on goal. The loss is Villanova's third in a row.

The Wildcats get back into action when they open up their Big East schedule, hosting the University of Connecticut on Sunday at 1:00.
