VILLANOVA, Pa. - ESPN Classic will broadcast the Jan. 5 Villanova Big East Conference opener against West Virginia, it was announced today. The game gets underway at 7:30 p.m. in the Pavilion.
This contest will kick off ESPN Classic's coverage of college basketball. ESPN Classic, now in 55 million homes via basic cable, digital cable, sports tiers, and DirecTV and Dish Network, plans to produce live men's college basketball games this season with a Wednesday game-of-the-week during conference play.
Villanova (4-1 overall, 0-0 Big East) hosts Albany on Dec. 22 in the Pavilion (WNTP Radio/990 AM) at 7:30 p.m. With Villanova students on winter break, there are tickets available for this game along with upcoming contests against Middle Tennessee State (Dec. 27) and West Virginia (Jan. 5). A limited number of tickets remain for the Dec. 31 game at the Pavilion against the University of Pennsylvania.
