Greensboro, N.C. - Marina Muncan (1500m) and Monique Morgan (100m hurdles) automatically qualified for Nationals at the NCAA East Regionals held at North Carolina A&T State University this weekend.
Muncan won the 1500m with a time of 4:20.13. Morgan was the women's team's other automatic qualifier. She placed second in the 100m hurdles with a personal record time of 13.06. Morgan shaved a tenth of a second off her previous PR of 13.16 set at ECACs last season.
On the men's side, the 4x400m relay team of Elvis Lewis, John Wilsman, Carl Hansen and Drew Eckman placed fifth overall, after winning its heat. The team's time of 3:08.80 was the fastest it has run all year.
Andrew Keino finished sixth in the 3000m steeplechase with a time of 9:05.15, while Frances Koons placed sixth in the 1500m for the women. Keino and Koons will await the results of the other three regionals to find out if they received an at-large bid to Nationals.
