PRINCETON, N.J.—First year women's throwers Jane Carey (Webster, N.Y.) and Kiera Christensen (Alexandria, Minn.) were in action for Villanova at the Sam Howell Invitational on Saturday afternoon. The pair each competed in the hammer for the third time this season.
 
Carey finished ninth in Saturday's competition with a mark of 47.16 meters and Christensen came in 10^th with a throw of 46.16 meters. In their first collegiate season, Carey and Christensen have each ascended into the top 10 of the Wildcats all-time performance list in the hammer. Christensen ranks eighth on that list with a PR of 49.07 meters recorded at the Danny Curran Invitational last week and Carey is 10^th with a throw of 47.79 meters registered in the season-opening Penn Challenge.
