Villanova Head Coach Andy Talley...

Opening statement: This game was probably played the way you like to draw it up. We held them under 14 and controlled the football as much as you can. This game really belongs to our defense, they did the job that we needed in the second half. This was a playoff game. I think we saw two playoff teams play today. I love our team, I think our kids played about as hard as they could play. Losing Greg Miller was hard on us, he is our top notch captain and defensive end and that hurt a bit. All in all, this was a very gutty physical performance and they are a very good football team and I knew we were going to have to play well.

Villanova quarterback Chris Whitney...

On making blocks: I knew going into this game that if in order to have our rushing game work that I was going to have to block. So when I handed the ball off I knew I was going to have to make a block in order for the play to work. Playing defense in high school helped. I don't mind hitting anybody.

Villanova defensive end Tim Kukucka...

On holding New Hampshire to 13 points: We just do our thing, play hard and play physical and it doesn't matter who our opponent it we are going to play the same way.

Villanova wide receiver Phil Atkinson...

On his touchdown catch: Everyday in practice we run the same plays and run the same offence and coach says to always stay in phase because you never know when he is going to pitch it to you and I stayed in phase and he pitched it to me.

New Hampshire Head Coach Sean McDonnell...

Opening statement: I watched tape all week on both sides of the ball of their football team and I knew he had to play pretty clean to win the football game especially down here. Hats off to Villanova, they played a lot cleaner game than us and won what I thought was a pretty good football game.
