Head Coach Andy Talley...
On the game: That's probably as good of game as we have played and won here at Villanova, we have had some good wins but this certainly would rank up there with the top four or five.
On the turning point of the game: I think the turning point in the game for me was when we had the interception and the punt block and they only had three points on the board. At that point I thought, `Ok, we're in this game, we can play with this team' and in summary I look at all three aspects of the game and feel like we won offense, defense and the kicking game and that is what we had to do because they are an outstanding football team.
On the offensive line: I think our offensive line is unheralded, this defense is only giving up 56 rushing yards a game and prior to the game we had not had a running back make a run over 14 yards.
Villanova sophomore quarterback Chris Whitney...
On Villanova's motivation in the game: Coach got after us on the field, he told us all week that he did not see a team that wanted to win the game on Saturday and that we were going to have to prove him wrong, and I thought we did a good job of proving him wrong.
Villanova sophomore running back Aaron Ball...
On his first career 100-yard rushing game: It felt great getting the carries. The O-line did a great job blocking up front, it made it a lot easier for me to get the hole and run through it and to do what I do. Coach told us before the game that we need production out of the group, fullbacks, tailbacks and tight end group. So we just tried to go out there and be productive and take a little pressure off the quarterback.
Villanova defensive lineman Greg Miller...
On the game: We started off, coach harps on us to stop the run, that is our first job every week no matter who we play and when we stop the run we can go out and have a little fun and that is what happened. Coach gave us a great game plan and we just went out and had fun.
