VILLANOVA, Pa. - After an exciting Hoops Mania on Friday evening, the Villanova men's basketball squad took to the court for the Annual Blue/White Scrimmage on Saturday morning in the Pavilion.
The Wildcats broke in to two teams and played three 10-minute games with an autograph session held for fans at the conclusion of game three.
Sophomore Maalik Wayns and senior Corey Stokes led the blue team with 11 points apiece. Sophomores Mouphtaou Yarou and Isaiah Armwood each pulled down four rebounds.
Senior Corey Fisher paved the way for the white team with 19 points, including four from three-point range. Redshirt sophomore Maurice Sutton grabbed seven rebounds.
The blue team won the first game, 13-11 with the white team taking the second game, 21-15. The third game was cut short with five-minutes remaining.
Villanova will open the 2010 season on Nov. 2 hosting the District of Columbia in an exhibition at the Wells Fargo Center. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
