Week 2 Release
PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Junior Kevin Cunningham (Garden City, N.Y./Kellenberg) has been named to the BIG EAST Honor Roll for the second week of the season, as announced by the conference on Monday afternoon. Cunningham tallied three goals and an assist in a 10-8 loss at Bucknell, as well as two ground balls and one caused turnover for the contest.
The 2011 All-BIG EAST Preseason Team selection leads the team in points and goals with five scores and three assists, good for eight points, and has also tallied two ground balls and one caused turnover for the year.
The Wildcats almost secured the comeback victory against the Bison last Saturday, making a late rally to bridge the third and fourth quarters and tying the score at 8 apiece, but Bucknell pulled out the victory with the final two scores of the game.
Villanova will be back in action on Tuesday, March 1st when they face No. 16 Drexel at Vidas Field in Philadelphia, Pa. Game time is scheduled for 4 p.m.
