PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Villanova sophomore Will Casertano (Millbrook, N.Y.) has been named to the BIG EAST Honor Roll for his performance versus Georgetown, as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.
Casertano tallied two goals and three assists to lead Villanova against the Hoyas, capturing a career high in both points and assists. For the season, Casertano is third on the team with 33 points and second with 17 assists. This is the first BIG EAST accolade of the sophomore's career.
Villanova earned their second bid in program history to the NCAA Men's Lacrosse Tournament, as announced Sunday evening on ESPNU. The Wildcats will face Denver (13-2) at Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium on the Denver University campus. Game time is scheduled for Sunday, May 15th at 3:15 MT/5:15 ET.
HONOR ROLL
Barney Ehrmann, Georgetown, Sr., LSM Won 14-of-23 faceoffs and stopped Villanova on seven clear attempts. Had his seventh game with four or more caused turnovers and he collected three ground balls.

Made a career-high 17 saves in season finale at Rutgers, a 10-7 loss. Posted a .630 save percentage against the Scarlet Knights.

Had four goals in a 10-7 win against Providence.
Tommy Palasek, Syracuse, Jr., A
Recorded two goals and two assists for four points in a 20-6 victory against St. John's.
Will Casertano, Villanova, So., A
Had two goals and three assists to lead Villanova in an 11-9 loss at Georgetown. The three assists and five points were both career highs.
