  • Villanova is 5-0 at home this season and improved to 7-4 in the all-time series against Towson.
  • Junior quarterback John Robertson registered his 12th career game with at least 100 rushing yards. It was the second such game of the season for Robertson and his first since running for 115 yards in the season opener versus Syracuse. In tonight's game, Robertson finished with 20 carries for 107 yards and a touchdown.
  • John Robertson has thrown at least three touchdown passes seven times this season and 10 times in his career.
  • Senior wide receiver Poppy Livers had a game-high seven receptions for 78 yards while reaching two milestones during the contest. Livers surpassed 1,500 career receiving yards with his final catch of the night. He now has 1,511 career yards on 122 receptions. Livers also moved into 15th place in school history in career receiving yards, passing former Villanova great Matt Szczur (2007-10) who had 1,485 yards. Next up ahead of Livers on the Wildcats career list is Shaz Brown (1999-02) in 14th place with 1,522 yards.
  • Villanova scored its second defensive touchdown of the season when senior safety Joe Sarnese returned an interception 48 yards for a score with 13:25 remaining in the fourth quarter. The other defensive touchdown for the Wildcats this year came on a 35-yard interception return by Austin Calitro in a 50-6 win over Fordham on September 6. Villanova has not allowed a defensive touchdown to its opposition this season.
  • Joe Sarnese scored the second touchdown of his career with his interception return in the fourth quarter. His first career score came on a fumble recovery for a touchdown last season in a 35-6 win over Stony Brook on September 21, 2013. Sarnese also matched a season-high with 11 tackles in tonight's game.
  • Junior linebacker Don Cherry had 10 tackles in the game and reached double figures in stops for the fifth time this season. Cherry leads the Wildcats with 96 tackles for the year.
