BALTIMORE, Md. - Major League Lacrosse (MLL) held its annual supplemental draft on Wednesday, December 17th and 2014 Villanova men's lacrosse graduates Christopher Conroy, Chris Piccirilli and Thomas Croonquist were chosen for a 2015 MLL roster spot by Chesapeake, New York and Florida, respectively. 96 players were selected during the annual supplemental draft prior to the start of the 2015 MLL season over 12 rounds.

The trio's selections marks the third-straight year for former Villanova men's lacrosse stars in the supplemental draft with Kevin Cunningham chosen in the 2013 supplemental draft and Jack Rice picked in the 2014 event. Following today's selections, five former student-athletes from the 2014 graduating class have now been chosen to play in the pro league as Conroy, Piccirilli and Croonquist have the opportunity to join classmate John LoCascio in the MLL. Kevin O'Neil was also selected during last year's annual draft.

Conroy was a two-time All-BIG EAST First Team selection and 2014 Preseason All-BIG EAST First Team member as a three-year starter on defense. For his career, Conroy collected 56 ground balls and caused 51 turnovers.

Piccirilli was a 2014 All-BIG EAST Second Team and 2014 Preseason All-BIG EAST First Team honoree as a two-year starter on close defense for the Wildcats. For his career, he totaled 83 ground balls, 40 caused turnovers and registered 12 goals and three assists for 15 points.

Croonquist was a 2014 BIG EAST Championship All-Tournament team selection and was selected to the conference first team in 2013. He won a total of 590-of-1,060 (.557) attempts from the X during his career and collected 295 ground balls, placing him second on the all-time list at Villanova. He also tallied five goals and 10 assists for 15 points in his career.

With the addition of today's athletes to the MLL, Villanova now has eight former student-athletes in the past four years chosen to join the professional league including Brian Karalunas (2011), Kevin Cunningham (2012), Jack Rice (2013), Kevin O'Neil (2014), John LoCascio (2014), Christopher Conroy (2014), Chris Piccirilli (2014) and Thomas Croonquist (2014).
