EDISON, N.J. - Seven Villanova water polo student-athletes have been honored for their academic achievements and named to the 2013-14 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Honor Roll, as announced by the conference on Tuesday afternoon.

To be eligible for the MAAC Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 or higher on a 4.0 scale. Villanova competes as an associate member in the MAAC for water polo.

Robyn Bastian (So., Evanston, Ill., Communications), Julie Conrath (So., Iverness, Ill., Chemical Engineering), Sadie Dutcher (Sr., Pasadena, Calif., Education), Callan Edwards (Jr., Oxnard, Calif., Biology), Sarah Kesack (Jr., Harleysville, Pa., Mechanical Engineering), Olivia Perry (Fr., San Diego, Calif., Arts and Sciences) and Mary Riley (So., Mars, Pa., Business) were all recognized by the conference for their outstanding academic achievements for their cumulative GPAs. The seven Wildcats helped Villanova to a 10-20 overall record and 6-9 mark in the MAAC. Additionally, it marked the second-straight year Villanova qualified for the conference tournament.
