NEW YORK, N.Y. - Junior John Moderski (Philadelphia, Pa.) has been named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll for his performance in an 11-4 loss at Fairfield over the weekend. It marks the first conference honor for Moderski in his career.

The defenseman registered a career-high seven ground balls and added in a caused turnover to lead the Wildcat defensive effort. For the season, Moderski leads the team with 26 ground balls and nine caused turnovers. The contest marked the final non-conference game for Villanova this season.

Villanova will return to action for their first BIG EAST game of the season on Saturday, March 28th when they host the Marquette Golden Eagles. Game time is slated for 1 p.m. and will be broadcast live on the Big East Digital Network.
