March 5, 2015 VILLANOVA, Pa. - The Wildcats completed their spring break trip to California by taking on the Chapman University Panthers on Wednesday night and closed the trip on a high note, winning a close match by a score of 12-10.
The Wildcats trailed 6-4 at the half and rode a strong eight goal output in the second half to the win. The Panthers were only able to pick up four additional goals in the second half and when the score was tied at 10, the Wildcats seized their 11th and 12th goals in the final two minutes.
Leading scorers for the Wildcats were Dominique Clark who found the net four times and Naomi Ng who picked up an additional two goals. Other goal scorers for the Wildcats were Sarina Shibata, Lizzie Louwers, Sheila Gerrity, Mary Riley, Sara Lynn Abele and Lizzie Newman with one each.
The Wildcats will now have some off-time until March 14 when they travel to Oneonta, N.Y. for the Hartwick Invitational where they will compete against Hartwick, Brown and Connecticut College.
