NEW YORK, N.Y. - Freshman Sean Cerrone has been named the BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week and classmate Luke Palmadesso has been named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll for their performances in a 21-11 win over St. John's last weekend. It marks the first Offensive Player of Week laurels for Cerrone and the fourth weekly honor roll nod for Palmadesso this season.

Cerrone tallied a career high five goals and seven points in the matchup against St. John's, besting his previous season and career best by two points in the effort. The freshman midfielder also took eight shots and place five on target versus the Red Storm. He currently leads the team with 33 points and 21 assists on the year.

Palmadesso finds himself back on the weekly honor roll after going 23-for-36 (.639) at the faceoff X on Saturday night to help maintain possession for the Wildcats. For the season, Palmadesso leads the team with 47 ground balls and is winning faceoff's at a 55% clip, going 129-for-236 attempts on the year.

Villanova will be back in action on Saturday, April 25th when they travel to Providence, R.I. to take on the Providence College Friars. Game time is slated for 1 p.m. at Lennon Family Field.
