Question: Jay, can you talk about your 3-point shooting tonight?
Jay Wright: When you have a night like that, you're going to win a lot of game. What we have to work on are the nights like against Butler, when we are not making shots. We have ton continue to work at it. When you play at home and make shots like that, you're going to win most games.
Question: Jay, were you worried about how the veteran team would comeback tonight from the Butler game?
JW: After you lose a game at any time, you are always a little curious about how your team comes back the next game. So I was definitely curious, but I wouldn't say I was worried. Last year, what made us so good was our character. These guys aren't saints, but they can look at a loss and say 'we have to get a lot better'. No excuses. I kind of expected that, but I was curious.
Question: What did you like most about how the offense played today?
JW: I just like the way we made good decisions and everyone shared the ball. We had 23 assists. That's really how we want to play and normally play. We were just getting a little sloppy. We have to keep that up. Teams try to take that away from us. We have to be disciplined.
Question: Jay, Donte had six assists tonight and gave the team some key momentum plays? How big has he been this season?
JW: He's a big part of this team. He's a freshman, really. Last year being hurt, not only did he miss games, he missed a lot of practice. He can really pass the ball. He can score, he can defend, he can rebound. We need him. He gives us great versatility. He can play the one, two, three. He can play the four. He's physical enough. He's big. Erica and Donte's development are real important to our team.
Question: Josh, was it easy to put the loss behind you?
Josh Hart: I'm competitive, but you can't dwell on it. We had give Butler all the credit. They played tough. We didn't have a good feeling coming out of that game. Not just becuase we lost, but how we played. We got back the next day and just kept working on those habits. The day after I felt good about where we were going. How we took coaching. We just had to put that behind us and keep moving forward. Obviously that night it stung, but after that day we can't dwell on it. Whether we on our lost we have to get better.
