The Villanova women's tennis (0-13) dropped their matches against Lehigh (4-5) on Wednesday afternoon, with a final score of 5-2.
Lehigh finished first in the doubles flight to give them an advantage, but that did not stop Lindsey Evans and Victoria Martinez. Unfortunately, Carina Burdick and Sydney King fell 6-4 to Lehigh, having Lehigh earn the doubles point.
Two freshmen performances gave the Wildcats their only points of the match. Kaylan Rotman competed in the No. 3 singles matches and won 6-2, 6-1. Carina Burdick competed in the No. 4 singles matches for a 7-5, 6-2 win. Lindsey Evans put up a hard three-match fight of 6-3, 3-6, 6-3, but could not clinch the point for the Wildcats.
