NEW YORK, N.Y. - Sophomore Lindsey Evans was recognized by the BIG EAST for her notable performances as announced by the conference office this afternoon.

Lindsey Evans won both her singles and doubles matches at the No. 1 spot against Saint Joseph's. She combined with Victoria Martinez at the No. 1 doubles to win 6-4. She then won 6-4, 7-5 at the No. 1 singles spot. Evans then won a three-set match against Georgetown. She won 2-6, 7-5, 7-5 at the No. 1 spot as well.

Evans and the rest of the women's tennis team will play against tenth-seeded Providence tomorrow, April 27 for the BIG EAST Tennis Championships. The match is set for 9:00 a.m.
