NEW YORK, N.Y. - Victoria Martinez was recognized by the BIG EAST for her Notable Perormances this past week as announced by the conference office this afternoon.

Victoria combined with Lindsey Evans against Loyola to get a 6-3 win at the No. 1 doubles spot. She also won her singles match at the No. 2 spot with a 6-3, 6-0 win. Against La Salle, she competed in the No. 1 singles spot and went into a three-set match to win 5-7, 6-4, 10-5. All of her wins help Villanova pick up back to back sweeps.

Victoria and the rest of the women's tennis team returns to action on Friday against DePaul.
