Villanova, Pa. – After controlling most of the game, the Wildcats fell to Creighton on Sunday afternoon, 1-0.
 
The lone goal of the game came on a penalty kick from Taryn Jakubowski in the 55^th minute. The shot went low to the left side of the net just out of reach of diving goalkeeper Hensley Hancuff.
 
Villanova dominated the shot category leading Creighton 21-7. They also had 14 corner kicks to Creighton's two.
 
Freshman Shaye Seyffart had a great chance in the 72^nd minute to sneak one past Creighton goalkeeper Katie Sullivan, but just couldn't get it in the back of the net. The ball was right on the goal line but was not ruled a goal.
 
Chloe O'Neill also had a great chance late in the game but rang it off the crossbar that resulted in a goal kick for Creighton.
 
O'Neill led the team in shots with five and Bri Austin finished the game with four.  Tori Alfero and Kristin Barbour once again played all 90 minutes for the Wildcats providing great defense.
 
Villanova will be back in action on Thursday at St. John's. Game time is set for 7:00 P.M. The game will be broadcasted on BIG EAST Digital Network.
